LANCE

null

Lance is Harly’s owner. He is a computer repairman with horned rimmed glasses, kinda nerdy but a big dude. He has a wife, a young son and a nice house in a serene urban neighborhood that is just a little too far away from Dog Beach to suit Harly. He rides a “gun” type surfboard built to race the fastest waves in the world. His surfing style is a charging, full on pedal to the metal style.

BETTY

SKIP

null

(AKA “Skipper”), Lance and Betty’s son is a “chip off the old block”. He is blonde, loves to surf, eats like a horse and a natural born inventor. Skip loves to experiment and build new toys and things from his dad’s spare parts from work. Keeping up with Skip is hard to do, he is always on the move doing stuff.

RINGO

null

Teenage WaveHound Ringo and his almost identical twin brother Duke are super-powered surfing dogs! They can hold their breath as long as a whale, they can swim at speeds that a shark can barely catch a glimpse of and do flying aerial surfing maneuvers that no one else can do. Ringo has a little darker coat and a floppy ear that he got from being too much of a daredevil one day. Ringo is quite a mischievous and funny dog.

PANCHO

null

Pancho is Mexico’s National Surfing Champion and the owner of Ringo. Pancho is a fisherman who lives on the beach in Rosarito. He is a great cook and always has fresh fish for his fish taco stand. Pancho is a bachelor who has never been married even though one of his dog, Ringo’s specialties is attracting women in hopes that Pancho will find “the one”. Pancho’s patented style of surfing includes headstands, riding backwards and “el rollos” in the tube. The only time Pancho is ever awkward is when his big moustache gets caught somewhere, otherwise he is as smooth as silk.

DUKE

null

Duke is always a good dog, he never gets into trouble like Ringo. Sometimes Duke takes a different approach to problems and will use math and science to figure things out. He is not afraid of anything, he is just a little more cautious than his brother and Duke’s coat is a little lighter color than Ringo’s.

ERIC

null

(AKA “Kiki” in Spanish), Eric is Duke’s owner and Jen’s father. He is a real hero on the job, he is a firefighter who is always saving people and putting out fires but totally laid back off the job, a real nice guy. He is always reasonable and very light-hearted although he does get the blues sometimes and when he does, he just has to get out his old harmonica to play sultry blues tunes under the moonlight. Eric’s surfing style is flawlessly graceful, he loves to ride inside the tube of a wave.

LIBBY

null

Libby is a fiery redhead who is Eric’s ex-wife and Jennifer’s mother. She is a reclusive artist who lives in the Florida Keys with Jen. She and Jennifer go scuba diving and do all kinds of things as a mother-daughter team. Libby has sold her art to the rich and famous, so she has many influential clients. Libby and Eric get along real well so there is never a hassle between them and they help each other out whenever needed.

JENNIFER

null

(AKA Jen), Jennifer is a fiery redhead like her mom and a straight-A student. She spends the school year with her mom in Florida and she spends the summers with Eric and Duke in Dog Beach California. Besides surfing, Jen also rides a dirt bike when she goes to spend the summer with her dad. This is one subject of difference between Eric and Libby but Jen and her dad enjoy dirt biking too much to resist an occasional trip to go exploring off road in Baja, Mexico.
